Starting with Stackspin version 0.8.4, we have decided to do smaller and more frequent releases. This way we can give you our newest features, updates and bug fixes as soon as possible!

With stability and performance improvements (see here), the 0.8.4 release also includes several UX improvements. The users can now have an overview of their contacts, make appointments, and use polls as a part of the Nextcloud apps. Signing out of the dashboard will end their Single sign-on session so another user can sign in. Last but not least, this release allows admins to set user rights from the dashboard.

The 0.8.5 release brings a more convenient way to create multiple users by using batch user creation in the Dashboard – a feature that allows you to enter a CSV with users’ email addresses and names to create several users at the same time. All these users will also get “User” roles for all apps by default, which was not the case with previous releases. We also made it easier to reset your password by changing the default “Account recovery email” from Kratos (our identity management software). It also gets automatically sent to all new users, so that they know an account has been made for them and they can configure their password for the first time. The password reset links are now valid for 1 hour instead of 15 minutes, to allow more time to react to the email.

If you’re considering using Stackspin and want to try it, reach out to us – we’d be happy to answer all your questions!
